As I have told you inthe past, rangers are already starting to build hostels and motels, so if you're cold to sleep in tents, you could be accommodated at a hostel in the heart of the forest. Here you will have a mirific view. I recomand you to dress well...

Today I will tell you what did I see at Lapusna in the last week. One of the changes that caught my attention was that I finally saw that there some rangers started to build some beautiful and big motels and B&B's (bad and breakfast). I was really surprised to see that finally this area starts to develop as a turistical valley and it wasn't only one motel, in the same day I saw 3 or 4.

In the end I would like to say that I'm glad that finally our zone is starting slowly to develop.

Spring vision

Spring opens the season for barbeques and green grass. In this time of year Gurghiu Valley area show their true beauty, she is waiting for us with open arms and much fresh air.
A few days ago I have been to a barbecue at Lapusna with my friends. We had a great time and the landscape was indescribable, we even had the opportunity to see some deer and rabbits in the grass. The only thing that was pretty unpleasant, was the road that had a lot of holes and we travel 30 miles in about an hour. Otherwise everything was great.
And as I said I think that this area could bring a lot of money from ecotourism. But for this to happen we need to have a good infrastructure, because otherwise no one will come here if the roads are not passable.
In the end I would like to invite everyone to visit this beautiful area full of tradition and much, much clean air.

Ecotourism in Gurghiu mountains...

Hello 2 all, in this topic I will tell you about Ecotourism in Gurghiu Mountains. Gurghiu Mountains are a mountain group of Moldavian-Transylvanian Carpathians, the mountain chain of the Eastern Carpathians, here you will find a village named Lapusna, where is the faimous Lapusna Castle. In the next lines I will explain you why I think that the castle could be a important ecotourism center in this district.

Lapusna Castle was owned by King Carol II. This was the favorite hunting place of the royal family of Romania, the house of Habsburg, and then, even the Ceausescu family. All these used to establish the headquarters during the hunting picturesque Castle Lapusna. After 1989, often came here to hunt Ion Tiriac, Prince Dimitrie Sturdza, who were joined by various American and European hunters. The entire area has become famous after many hunters here they have set world records in trophies carpathian brown bear, black goats and deer. In total, there were obtained more than 300 gold medals for hunting trophies. Castle Lapusna is composed of 7 building with 35 rooms and a park in the area of 4 hectares.
